The Ledge Light Foundation

The  Ledge Lighthouse Foundation was created in 1987 with the goal of tending the lighthouse building. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit organization.  Our goal is to restore the light, publicize its history, and manage its reuse as a museum, gallery and tourist attraction. In 2014, ownership of Ledge Light was transferred from the Coast Guard to the New London Maritime Society. The Ledge Light Foundation will lease the lighthouse and continue its work of preservation, expanding the Interpretive Center inside Ledge Light, and providing public access through tours.

At this site, you can learn about Ledge Lighthouse's history, see its condition today, find out about events and volunteering opportunities,  download membership applications, and donate to the foundation.
